Let WBM Sell Your Music
Thanks for your interest in allowing Waterton Brass Music to make your music
for brass ensemble available for sale. You keep the copyright,
and you set the price. Use us along with any other
non-exclusive arrangements
you have to make your music available for sale. We pay royalties at the
end of each quarter via PayPal® using the following schedule:
Arrangements sold as printed music: 50% of list price paid to
you.
Arrangements sold at SibeliusMusic: 25% of list price (Sibelius
keeps 50%)
Original Music sold as printed music: 60% of list price paid to
you.
Original Music sold at SibeliusMusic: 35% of list price paid to
you.
We do not collect performance license fees.
We do not register music with performing rights agencies (ASCAP,
BMI, etc.)
Composers/arrangers are responsible for all copyright issues regarding their submissions. If you have an arrangement of a copyrighted work, you must provide all documentation granting permission. You are also responsible for printing all copyright information on your score and parts. You agree to indemnify us (hold harmless) from any claims or other issues resulting from listing your music for sale.
We print our music with high-quality inks and parts on 65lb acid-free/lignin-free card stock. Shipping usually occurs the next day. Online transactions are handled through PayPal® and no customer financial information is ever stored by us. We do not sell or provide any customer data to anyone.
We engrave all of our music with Sibelius®. If you already use Sibelius®, you can e-mail your files. If you use Finale®, you'll need to export your music files as MusicXML format. We will also accept high-quality camera-ready printed scores and parts (don't send originals as these will not be returned to you). Recordings are recommended but not required. You can also send us program/ performance notes to include in the score and a brief bio. If you need us to engrave your music, just send us the manuscript and we'll send you a quote for engraving labor. We'll provide you with the original Sibelius® file and a high-quality PDF for your records.
As our name implies, we only list works scored for brass instruments (mainly, of course that can also include organ, perc., etc.). We do not publish music for concert band, orchestra, woodwind quintet, chorus, etc. We will not consider music with extreme E-flat trumpet parts or piccolo trumpet parts. Our agreement to publish and distribute your music is at-will and non-exclusive. Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We reserve the right to refuse to publish any music for any reason. We furthermore reserve the right to remove previously listed music with two weeks notice to you for any reason. Even furthermore than that, we reserve the right to update this policy from time to time at our discretion without notice.
